Sand Dollar is a two-bedroom beachfront cottage overlooking Marley Beach, ideal for two couples or a family of four or more.

Located on the hillside overlooking the ocean, direct access to private Marley Beach is just steps away.

Central to just about everything anyone could wish to do in Bermuda with convenient bus stops at the bottom of the driveway. Restaurants, golf, tennis, sightseeing and shopping only minutes away. Sand Dollar is a rare gem in Bermuda for the visitor who doesn't want the large hotel stay and prefers to get out and do their own exploring and discovery while staying in one of the most romantic, private and beautiful settings in Bermuda!

Sunrises, Sunsets, Snorkeling and Whales.

Whale watching with frequent sightings of migrating humpbacks early in the mornings and early evenings during March, April, and sometimes into May, June and beyond. The whales are often within half a mile of the beach as they come in during the night to protect their young. You don't need binoculars to watch them frolicking, breaching, and just cavorting in Bermuda's tranquil and protected waters.

You can even see large parrot fish feeding on the reefs close to the shore right from Sand Dollar’s patio overlooking the beach.

Great for families with kids! *****

We had a wonderful stay at Marley Beach with our two kids. The owner and property manager were communicative and helpful from before we left the U.S. They helped us get to the property and navigate around the island with ease. The house was great for us and our two young kids. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat at home and plenty of space for play and relaxing. The beach views and easy beach access cannot be beat. We were able to get to local beaches and sights with taxi or bus easily. I would absolutely recommend this property for families with kids! It is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, clean, well appointed and FAR more affordable than hotels/ resorts.

Paradise *****

This truly the perfect spot for an island getaway. The place itself is spacious, clean, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need. I cannot say enough about the outdoor space. The patio is a great spot to have a cocktail and stargaze. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. We spent most of our time on the beach relaxing, watching the parrot fish, snorkeling and had a bone fire. Many days we had the beach to ourselves. My only two heads up are the steps to the beach are steep, but manageable, and the ocean can be a little rough. Other than that everything was perfect!

Beautiful property in a great location *****

My family (kids aged 14, 11, 8) had an incredible time. The cottage was exactly what we needed, no frills but kitchen, 2 bathrooms, outdoor eating area and gorgeous views. The location was perfect, in the middle of everything with a bus stop right across the street. The only downside was it was very windy so we weren't able to enjoy the beach below (too rough) and for a few days we couldn't eat outside due to the high winds but this was outside of anyones control and didn't affect our great time! We below a fuse one night, losing all power, and the property manager had an electrician there within the hr to fix the issue, great service. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Awesome Stay! *****

We stayed at the Sand Dollar in Bermuda the first week in April. The property was everything as advertised. It was clean and convenient to bus stops, and next to private Marley Beach. Our host, Gordon, was terrific at helping us with everything we needed including advice on food, golf, and transportation. It was an excellent place to spend a week in beautiful Bermuda. I’ll stay here next time.

The Cottage was very roomy *****

I had a lovely time at Sand Dollar. The views and beach are gorgeous, so private and pristine. The cottage was very roomy– both bedrooms are big with comfortable beds, pillows, and room to move around. Living room area was bigger than I expected from the pictures.

This is a very professional operation, lots of communication ahead of arrival from Gordon. We arranged for groceries to arrive the afternoon we arrived; Gordon arranged for bus passes; and having a local cell phone was very helpful.

There are lounge chairs and nice seating options outside for viewing the beach and ocean from above. Saw some whales in the distance on their migration north.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The views off the master bedroom are gorgeous! 30 second walk to your private beach. Centrally located for all travel desires while in Bermuda. Outstanding hospitality at location and all throughout Bermuda. Grocery store and food delivery options close. You are provided a cell phone if you do not have an international plan to make local calls. The list could go on and on! I can’t recommend this place enough! I will be staying again!

Beach is less than a 2 minute walk (with a toddler in arms) *****

Great location, fabulous beach. 10 min drive from Hamilton. Helpful host. We had the ability to order groceries prior to arrival which was perfect because there aren’t any supermarkets within close walking distance. Very thoughtful touch in providing a local cell phone for emergencies. Was great when receiving phone calls from restaurants that delivered! Beach is less than a 2 min walk (with a toddler in arms). The cottage offered beach chairs, umbrellas, some beach toys, an outdoor patio a perfect view of the sunrise. Cottage was clean and well maintained. Tip if you’re traveling with kids, bring extra paper towels and trash bags. Would visit again!

Perfect beach location + great hospitality *****

Can't say enough good things about this little gem. From the start, Steve and his property manager, Gordon, helped with general info and answered my questions. This house (and related properties) are just steps from a beautiful private beach. Also steps from the public bus and walking distance to the Sizzle Pub restaurant. The house is well-equipped with kitchen utensils, basic cooking needs, beach towels, etc. Also, great WiFi and TV channels. As far as general location, this house is also ideal. Smack in the middle of the island, its accessible to the rest of the island. Ask Gordon for Andre's number - you can hire him to show you around the island.

Everything went as smoothly as possible...there were no hiccups! Steve and Gordon were both extremely easy to deal with! I would love to wake up every single morning to the fabulous sunrise and swim every day at the most amazing private beach....such a special place!!! We felt fortunate to come across it when we were searching for a place to honeymoon. We hope to return again with family!

Perfect home in Bermuda *****

We had a great trip to Bermuda. The house was perfect, the view could not be beat, the private beach was amazing and we enjoyed it everyday of our stay. We loved looking outside for little lizards (with my one and a half year old), listening for nearby roosters in the morning, and “swimming” in the tidal pools during low tide. This home is fantastic, the only issue was not with the home but if you do not rent a bike or small car it can be a little tough to get around by bus, we ended up mostly using taxis. When we go back without our little one we’d love to try a motor bike. Such a great vacation home. Thank you for sharing!

Blissfully Peaceful *****

We enjoyed a seven night stay at Sand Dollar cottage on Marley Beach with our four young children and it was blissfully peaceful. My parents rented the one bedroom studio cottage next door and we enjoyed coffee and breakfast every morning together before heading out for a Bermudian adventure. Being able to lodge in a private setting, with the most spectacular view, access to the private beach made for an unforgettable week surrounded by sunshine, sandy toes and fresh air. We prefer to stay in a villa or rental house during our vacations given the ages of our children (all under 10 years) .. we used the gas grill a lot and had some groceries delivered upon arrival, we also packed an entire suitcase of prepared food knowing that groceries can be expensive on the island. Gordon offered five star service. Responding to emails within hours, answering all questions I had regarding specific excursions I planned for our trip. We were
thrilled to discover that our cottages were positioned in the perfect location for what we loved to do most on the island, swim in the crystal blue waters and shallow lagoons with the kids. It was only a $9 taxi ride to our favorite spot, Jobsons Cove. We would love to visit again.

Sand Dollar cottage is well-cared for in a great location. The view was fantastic, the rooms generally spacious and the furniture was in good shape. The host provided good information prior to our arrival that made our lives much easier. You could tell that a lot of thought went into making the cottage comfortable for the person new to Bermuda. We appreciated the TV, and the complete kitchen, which was on the small side, but had random spices left behind by previous visitors. The cottage rooms are spacious, the beds were very good – pillow top mattresses with a selection of different types of pillows from super soft to firm. It was good to have starter toiletries until we got settled. It was also wonderful that they arranged for bus passes, and met a grocery delivery. I would definitely recommend a stay at Marley Beach.

Truly spectacular location overlooking the turquoise sea. The sound of the waves at night were wonderful. The beach was essentially empty and a true playground for us and our 3 boys. Most magical place our family has experienced so far. Stephen's team - very responsive, kind, well organized. Local groundskeeper and informal taxi driver, Andre, is a real gem, stepping in to take us around the island. At this place, you almost don't need to leave. Thanks again...we will be back!

Great Private Beach!  *****

This was our second stay at Sand Dollar and it was every bit as good as the first time. The cottage is well kept, appointed, and clean. The views are spectacular and the location is ideal. Buses right down the hill - 2 stops to the gas station and mini-mart. 1 stop to Swizzle Inn South. Great private beach! Thanks Steve & Gordon! We'll be back!

What a View!  *****

My family and I just returned from almost a week's stay at the Sand Dollar. I can certainly recommend staying here. The house was nicely appointed and very comfortable for my family of four and the house is exactly as advertised. The view of the south shore is great from the back terrace. We also found the location was very convenient to heading to the south shore beaches by bus (to the west) or heading into town toward the east (Hamilton). We hope to return for another visit in the near future.

Great Place  *****

Property sits atop a cliff over private beach and reef. Stairs down are manageable, even for 70 year old grandma a few times. We would love to come back and I've referred the place a few times to friends already. I'm sure the place is sold out most of the time given it's proximity and privacy. Lovely gem of a place! Gordon the caretaker was nice and available but only when needed. We made friends with the others staying in other houses on the property and just genuinely had a real great time. We had the beach to ourselves every day. Everything was as expected. There was some wear and tear to house, but no more so than any other beach rental. There is a washing machine and 1.5 million towels available. It was missing flat pans like cookie sheets, etc. but that is pretty much the only criticism that I have. It is within a 15 minute walk to a well appointed convenience store that has a lot of necessities, and right on the bus lines for the rest of the island. Honestly, I just can't say enough good things about it. Great location, great property, great people!

The Perfect Vacation *****

Everything about this vacation rental was perfect, minus the amount of time we stayed! The description and pictures posted don't do the rental justice. It's nestled on the side of its own little cliff. There are other homes around, but we honestly didn't even notice. The view is spectacular. We sat outside, under the moon, every evening, and just listened to the waves crash on the rocks. It was secluded enough to feel like we were by ourselves, but also close enough to the city and bus stops to get anywhere we needed to go! The private beach was so close and gorgeous. It was exceptionally rough the week we stayed, but there were also 3 hurricanes out in the Atlantic. We didn't allow the 16 and 18 month old to play in the water at the private beach because the currents were crazy rough, but you're only a couple bus stops away from Horseshoe Bay, which was the perfect beach for kids, swimming, cliff jumping, snorkeling, etc! The beds were super comfortable. Although the kitchen was small and equipped with only the basics- it worked for us. We cooked breakfast and dinners most nights we were there. The grocery store is a couple bus stops away, or a $10 taxi ride. We bought all of our groceries from the Modern Mart and never went to Lindo's. Modern Mart had everything we needed.
